Hi there, I'm

Alexandra Blair Antablin

Biochemist

I'm a biochemist and lab scientist who loves the bench, the ocean, and — more and more — solving problems with code. Welcome to my little corner of the sea, dolphins very much included.

01 — About

A biochemist with a soft spot for code

First and foremost, I'm a biochemist and laboratory scientist. I've spent years purifying proteins, culturing cells, and chasing clean data — the lab is home, and the analytical, detail-obsessed mindset that comes with it is how I approach everything.

More recently I've fallen for the problem-solving rush of writing code — very much as an enthusiast still, learning as I go. And when I'm away from the bench or the keyboard, you'll find me near the water. Marine biology is my forever fascination, and yes, I will happily talk about dolphins for far longer than is socially acceptable.

"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it — and the ocean keeps most of it hidden."

02 — Projects

Things I've built

A few of the projects I've shipped, tinkered with, and learned from.

In progress

OSRS Shooting Star Tracker

A collaborative scraper for Old School RuneScape that tracks shooting star locations, with a planned RuneLite plugin integration.

Web app

Underground v2

A reimagined version of my original console game, rebuilt as a Flask web app. It marks how far I've come as a developer — bug fixes, new features, and all.

Collaboration

ConsoleArcade

A collection of console games written in Python — including hangman and tic-tac-toe — dressed up with ASCII visuals. Built with a team.

Where it began

Underground

My first major project — the final for Code in Place 2021. A console adventure game where players battle progressively tougher enemies.

03 — Résumé
